Haven’t had any opportunity to reviewed any burgers or hotdog yet…so on the way back from Jb we stopped by at Leisure Mall Pelangi to try one of the great hotdog around. They are called 1901. A Malaysian franchise that founder by Tengku Rozidar and A.Zakir. The name came based on the hotdog history. The terms hot dog coined in 1901 by a sports cartoonist named Tad Dorgan. He drew a cartoon of a real dachshund sausage covered with mustard on a bun. Since he did not know how to spell dachshund he wrote on the caption “get your hot dog”. The cartoon was a hit and the name persisted.
1901 offers variety of hot dog and my personal favourite is New York Chicken.

It’s a delicious steamed chicken sausage between warmed hoagie bun laced with tangy relish and drizzled with light New York dressing tomato ketchup and dash of crushed black pepper. So Irresistible.
